Thinking About Going Solo Pirate (Angel Cartel?) Need Advice
Hey all,
I still consider myself a beginner, but lately I’ve been really drawn to the idea of living as a solo pirate in low-sec.
I love the Angel Cartel ships their design, their style, everything so naturally I started thinking about joining a pirate faction to eventually earn those ships through their LP store.
That said, I’m trying to play in a kind of “ironman” way I want to rely on myself as much as possible, avoid the market, and acquire my own ships and resources.
Partly because it sounds fun and immersive but also because if I ever go full outlaw, I won’t be able to enter high-sec anyway without getting blasted by CONCORD or faction police
I’ve seen several videos saying it’s hard to start with pirate FW, since many people fly pirate or T2 ships, and it’s not really balanced for new players.
The problem is, I don’t have the skills yet for T2 frigates, But I also love frigate combat, the solo lifestyle, and the idea of being an outlaw roaming low-sec.
So I’m kind of stuck between wanting to live the pirate fantasy and still needing a path that’s realistic for a newer player.
How would you approach this as a newer player who wants to become a solo pirate over time?
Would it make sense to start with normal FW first, or just dive into pirate space and learn the hard way?
Any advice or progression path you’d suggest for someone wanting to build their own little pirate life in low-sec?
