Streaming freezes on full screen when streaming through AirPlay

I typically use Screen Mirroring with my Roku stick to watch things on my tv, but when I try with streaming services such as Prime Video or Crave, I cannot watch it on full screen. The video simply does not play (I can hear the audio go on, but the screen is frozen).

Is this only a problem for me? Or is it by design? I've tried googling this problem but cannot find anything that applies specifically to this configuration (airplay screen mirror to roku stick, firefox, prime video streaming, full screen).
