What are some tips and tricks for Career Mode?

I was grinding for the Greatest Of All Time title one day and I was wondering, are there any tricks that can boost one's stats during a match? Like for example, I like to sometimes go in front of the man I'm marking when the opposition has possession and then, the person who has the ball will automatically pass to him and I'd block it. Do you know any tips or tricks that are like this? I'd love to know!
