uninstalling wind turbine controller
I have a 24 VDC wind turbine connected to a controller. The controller is not working. I had an electrician out a while ago who did some preliminary diagnosis and concluded it is not a simple fix (blown fuse, etc.) and it is now at a point where I need to send the controller to the manufacturer and they will look at it for me.
My question is whether it is a safe/diy job to disconnect the controller, or whether I need to again get an electrician to do this work. Also, once the controller is disconnected, do I need to worry about the disconnected cables from the turbine during the interim period where they are not connected to anything?
Sorry if this is overly basic - I am new to this (the turbine was installed by the previous owner).
