Downward Spiral

I’ll probably get ratioed here, but I feel as if Sando doesn’t have it anymore. He needs to take a break and get back to his old way of writing or find a better editor. Everything after Oathbringer (and Moshe Feder leaving) has been poor quality.

There is too much unnecessary silliness. It’s as if he realized how much everyone liked Wayne and decided to build every story around that same feeling of aloofness. Sanderson had such a dark feel in the OG Mistborn and hasn’t really visited that same style in the last decade. WaT, Tress, Yumi, Frugal Wizard, and Sunlit Man have all made me pretty much lose hope in Sando’s books. Everything else is pretty much on my DNR list until SL book 6 comes out. That one will make or break the rest of his books for me.

Has anyone else noticed this pattern since Feder left after Oathbringer?
