Little help on this, pls.

I’ll be installing ProxMox on a ME Mini with an initial (gonna get more someday) 8tb storage in 2x4G sticks plus a small nvme for the os. The OS being ProxMox if you hadn’t guessed. So my question is do I need to install TrueNAS or whatever, to manage the drives, or can ProxMox just do it?
