Thoughts on Marinette’s secret

Hear me out… I know Marinette is wrong for lying to Adrien, but I do think her reason is valid and l understand her, she gets a little too much hate sometimes. Either way, this will all blow up in her face someday anyway. But, in the London special she tells Natalie “I’ll have to keep it a secret until I get the butterfly miraculous back, Marinette can’t tell him something only Ladybug is supposed to know” so she did want to tell him, though her thoughts may have diverted now but she initially was intending to tell him after being sure there’s no more threat with the Miraculous. I think that meant that she wants to tell him everything all at once, as in her secret identity and Gabriel’s truth, but she can’t do that so long as there is a threat. Also… Marinette has had so many people in her life come to know she’s ladybug and she’s able to confide in them, Alya, Alix, Luka, Kagami, Felix, Natalie. Chatnoir hasn’t told yet a single soul and countless times Ladybug has forbidden him from doing so, I love Marinette and totally understand the burden she carries and she deserves to be able to confide in her friends about it, however Adrien/Chatnoir has kept the integrity of this secret much better than she has and idk I just think it’s a little unfair that so many people know who she is yet not many know who Adrien is nor can he confide in anyone. I think it would be interesting if they showed Adrien at least ATTEMPTING to tell Marinette that he’s Chat Noir. Adrien has always come off as someone who hates secrets, hates being lied to, so to avoid this in his relationship, I could totally see him wanting to confide in Marinette about being ChatNoir.
