Goodman pressure switch stuck open code
I have an older Goodman model (CACF030B2A) HVAC that is giving a pressure switch stuck open code. It’s our first time turning on the heat this season, and it had been sitting not being used for the last 6ish weeks. During the summer the AC was working just fine, and as the temps cooled we just haven’t had to use heat or AC the last 6 weeks. Today when I turned on the heat, I could hear that the blower was on, but I didn’t hear the sound of the flames that I am familiar with hearing when heat is in use. I opened the top access door and saw no flame. I turned it off at the breaker just to give it a reset, and also turned off the on/off switch for the gas supply and then tuned that back on after a minute. When the unit turned on, I head the motor go, the igniter would glow, gas would kick on and flames would ignite, then after 15 seconds or so the flames would go out. After the flames went out, the indicator light would blink 3 times indicating that pressure switch was stuck open. I removed the hose going from the switch to the unit to confirm it was not clogged, I used a pipe cleaner to clean out the nipple that the hose attaches to, and was able to do the blow/suck motion on the pressure switch to make sure I could hear the internal click, which I did hear. I used the opportunity to also clean up the electric connections for the switch so there was no corrosion. After doing all this I turned it back on, saw the igniter glow, flame turned on, and after about 30-45 seconds I went to put the door back on thinking it was fixed, but then the flames went out and the light started blinking three times again.
Any sense of what the issue may be or other troubleshooting efforts?
