Confused about mc and berry

From my understanding, daimons are charons that were able to control their powers and not go out of control. This process also happens when a charon basically matures in age (becoming an adult). Phoxhunter is often called child by others like camilla but during the psyche act, dr henrick calls phoxhunter a daimon. Not entirely sure on berenica but the official has her listed as a daimon (well it has every playable character listed). So like is the mc a kid or nah?
