Reverse camera when raining

Does anyone have a trick of some sort? When water gets on the camera….. it’s nearly useless. My wife drives a Highlander and never has this issue (assuming due to the placement of the camera). One thing that helps is the wax after I get it washed….. but that fades away after a few days.
