Has anyone experienced a uterine rupture during pregnancy after having a C-section? Also, is a VBAC recovery worse than C-section?

I’m 8 weeks pregnant and my first child is almost 10 months old. We didn’t plan on having another baby yet, but accidents happen and we’re happy about it.

With that being said, I’m TERRIFIED of having a uterine rupture, but I don’t know anyone who’s had one.

I had to have an emergency c-section with my first because I was in labor for four days, but I was dilating more than 5cm. (Absolutely miserable and exhausting.)

The hospital I had my son at doesn’t do VBACs, but we’re about two hours from Columbus and I’m considering trying a VBAC at a birthing center. My c-section (and birth experience, in general) was very traumatic. I’m terrified to have another c-section, but I’ll also do what it takes to keep my baby safe.
