Any dads deal with infant GERD or milk protein intolerance? What helped your baby sleep?

Question

Our 3-month-old has GERD and we’re struggling to get him comfortable enough to sleep.
He won’t last more than 10 minutes in his bassinet, and we had a short phase where he’d only sleep in his car seat — which obviously isn’t sustainable.

We’ve tried side sleeping in a pack-and-play, using a feeding pillow for elevation, adjusting feeding times, and keeping him upright after meals, but it’s still been brutal.

I wanted to ask:
Has anyone else dealt with GERD or a dairy/cow protein intolerance with their baby?
What actually worked for you?

A few other dads shared these takeaways in our Slack:

  • Keeping baby upright for 30–45 minutes after feeding helped with reflux
  • Mylicon drops made a difference
  • Going dairy-free (for mom if breastfeeding) reduced symptoms within a week
  • Some found out it was a full-blown milk protein allergy confirmed by an allergist

Would love to hear what worked for you guys — especially around sleep.
