why do i go quiet when im drunk

i usually cope (maybe its masking) quite well when im around others in day to day life, but whenever i go on a night out with friends or anyone else i get so quiet!! it usually happens when im somewhere with loud music. im okay otherwise but this keeps coming up and it’s affecting my ability to get on with everyone else who wants to go to clubs etc when im perfectly happy sitting in a quiet bar for the night.
