🌿 Ravintsara: One of the Most Universal Immune-Supporting Oils
Ravintsara: Immune-supporting oil for fall & winter.
I asked this earlier in the week:
What’s one of the most gentle yet powerful essential oils you can use during fall and winter for inner strength and clear breathing ?
The answer: Ravintsara (Cinnamomum camphora)
It’s one of the most versatile oils in my collection — known for supporting the respiratory system, clearing sinuses, and stimulating immune defense.
It contains over 60% 1,8-cineole, a compound well-studied for its antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects.
✅ Generally safe for almost everyone (except pregnant women in the first trimester and infants under 3 months).
✅ Works beautifully in both inhalation and diffusion.
✅ Doesn’t overstimulate or sedate — it’s balanced and clear.
💨 Quick Ritual: Ravintsara Inhalation for Sinus Relief
If you’re feeling run down, congested, or trying to avoid getting sick in public:
- Put 2 drops of Ravintsara on a tissue or your wrists
- Inhale deeply and rhythmically for 1–2 minutes
- Repeat a few times a day, especially before or after being around crowds
This simple method helps open the airways and reduce viral load in the nasal passages.
🌬 Diffuser Use for Immune Support
To help prevent flu, COVID, or seasonal respiratory infections:
- Add 5–10 drops of Ravintsara to your ultrasonic diffuser
- Run it in the morning or evening for 20–30 minutes
- You can also blend it with Eucalyptus radiata, Frankincense, or Lemon for extra synergy
Its scent is clean, slightly medicinal, and emotionally uplifting — like crisp air after rain. It’s one of my top oils during colder months.
Would love to hear: Do you use Ravintsara already? Or do you have a go-to immune oil?
Let’s share and build a practical healing thread for this season.
