Hey everyone! I’m Riko Siempre, RN — a Vtuber who teaches healthcare topics and nursing education (you can find me here: [https://linktr.ee/rikosiempre]).

Something I’ve noticed after a year in this space: a surprising number of Vtubers, from small indies to big names, mention living with chronic illness, disability, or neurodivergence. And many fans do too. It made me wonder: how common is this in our community, and how does it shape the way we connect with our favorite creators?

I’m teaming up with other healthcare-minded Vtubers on what we’re calling "The Vtuber Health Census." It is a community research project exploring disability, health, and perception in the Vtuber world.

This specific survey, created by my colleague Selma Kattenhaven, focuses on how fans perceive Vtubers who talk about chronic illness or disability. It’s anonymous and only collects opinions. No personal info!
