Does Anyone Else Not Enjoy Vampire Tails?

I’ve been playing the event since it dropped and I’ve been trying hard to grind for all three of the available ponies, but I just think the event is a cash grab. It takes a while to be able to gain enough Magic Coins to fight the boss and not everyone can just sit there and grind (like me, a student). I find this event annoying, tedious, and unfair as most of the better ponies take a LOT of gems which I do not have enough time to get before the event ends. Am I complaining over nothing or does anyone else agree?
