how does it serve the current administration to declare a war on venezuela?

It just seems random? But I guess I’m embarrassingly out of the loop on the United States’ history with Venezuela. Our involvement with Argentina also seems random except that many Nazis fled to Argentina from Germany after the war so maybe there could be some conclusions drawn there about the culture and population in certain parts of Argentina being appealing to the current administration.
