Purchasing in March or April, want advice

Question ❔

I've been eyeing the Bronco for the past several years and have been wanting to get one. I plan to purchase either in March or April of 2026 when my husbands car loan is paid off.

She will be a pavement princess 80% of the time, the other 20% of the time will be camping. Nothing crazy, but conditions can be muddy, sometimes there's small creeks to cross (I can easily walk across the creek, they are normally under a foot deep and several feet wide), sometimes it's packed and sandy texture, sometimes it's loose sandy, soft dirt, etc. Terrain and weather varies, though wintry weather like snow and ice is a rarity where we live and play it's not out of the question a time or two per year. I doubt I'll be doing any rock climbing or crawling with it, but I do plan on going to OffRodeo so I guess that could change a little if I end up really enjoying it. I don't think it's for me though, high anxiety isn't conducive to that sort of thing IMO. We may be hauling a small cargo trailer with it 2-4 times a year, it's 10x6x6 and under 3k lbs loaded. I rented a Big Bend 4dr model while on vacation in Oregon and got to drive it for 3 days. It was pleasant to drive and pretty much sold me on buying one.

I do not know what trim is best to get here with what I'll be doing, or if it really doesn't matter much. I do want some luxuries, like heated seats, dual cabin climate control, and aux switches. Some sort of power plug would be a bonus (does anyone know if it would run a Keurig?) too. If I can afford a Raptor I'd probably go with that, just for the looks, but I know I'd never use it to even close to it's potential. What are you driving? Do you like it? Do you wish you had gotten a different model?
