What is your esophagus cancer story, for yourself or family?

What were your or your family members symptoms of the stage 3-4 esophagus cancer? What is your story with this cancer? I’ve been helping my dad and preparing him for treatments. He was diagnosed with esophagus cancer. I’m curious of what different stages of this cancer looks like and what your symptoms were and when you were diagnosed. My dad has been diagnosed with oesophageal cancer, and he has some symptoms that are alarming such as difficulty eating hard foods. He got an endoscopy after 2-3 months of the symptoms showing up (noticeably at least). He gets acid reflux too. They found a tumour at the bottom of his oesophagus above the valve? However, there was no spread to the stomach according to the endoscopy they requested immediate surgery. They already found him a surgeon. I guess them finding a surgeon for him when didn’t even get the biopsy results yet or the CAT scan results yet is pretty scary.
