I think I’ve been living on autopilot
Some days I feel like I’m not really here. My body’s doing the usual stuff working, talking, replying to messages but my mind feels like it’s watching from a distance.
I wake up, go to work, come back, clean up, scroll a bit, sleep. Then repeat. It’s like I’m maintaining a life instead of living one. Every day feels more like a transaction trade your energy for another 24 hours to do it again.
I keep telling myself it’s temporary. That once I get through this “phase,” things will make sense again. But I’ve been saying that for a long time. Maybe too long.
Somewhere along the way I started treating productivity like it’s purpose. As long as I’m doing something, I can pretend I’m moving forward. But honestly? I’m not sure I am. It just feels like I’m circling the same spot, convincing myself it’s progress.
Autopilot doesn’t care about joy or meaning it just keeps you running. And lately I can’t shake the feeling that I’ve forgotten what it means to actually live.
It’s weird… being in your own life but feeling like a background character in it.
