Initial work permit appeal crossed 6 months,no any updates or resolution

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask if anyone here has gone through a similar situation in Spain.

I submitted my initial work permit application through the Unidad de Grandes Empresas y Colectivos Estratégicos (UGE-CE) on February 28, 2025.

In March, they requested additional documents with a 10-day deadline, but I wasn’t able to provide everything in time.

On April 25, 2025, I filed an administrative appeal (recurso administrativo).

Now, it has been 6 months since the appeal and I haven’t received any update.

👉 Has anyone experienced a similar delay with UGE-CE appeals? 👉 How long did it take in your case, and what helped move things forward? 👉 Should I keep waiting or consider moving to a judicial court appeal (recurso contencioso-administrativo)?

Any advice, shared experiences, or guidance would be really appreciated.
