Made one mistake and now I'm being infantilized again
I'm 20F and a college student. I commute from home and generally have a good relationship with my parents, I rarely go out because I'm extremely busy. Most days I'm on campus from 9am-9pm and spend my weekends studying. Even when I lived on campus I rarely partied and never got into trouble with alcohol because I limited my intake. Never had problems with drugs or alcohol in high school either.
I went to a Halloween party yesterday and drank more than I should've and ended up calling my dad to pick me up. He was mad because I had to vomit and he had to pull over. I fell asleep as soon as I got home and didn't wipe off my makeup. Woke up this morning with a corneal abrasion that I went to urgent care for, which made my dad even more angry because he thought it's an unnecessary expense. This combined with last night has made him come to the conclusion that I'm "out of control" and I'm no longer allowed to go to parties on weekends, nor any of my friend's houses, as I may drink. I'd be tempted to ignore this but they could kick me out or take me off the car insurance policy or cancel my phone bill if I retaliate. I can't afford to move out. How do I convince them that they're massively overreacting???
