i have panic attacks while taking xanax?

The past 3 times i took xanax (prescribed) i had a panic attack. Its worked for me in the past about 5 years ago, but now it dosnt seem to do much either than make me groggy. I have very bad health anxiety and am just making the curve of not having constant panic attacks. Yesterday i took a .5mg of a xanax before giving myself a shot to try and calm my nerves. It worked just enough to get over the fear but i was still anxious. i still felt a pit in my stomach, my palms were still sweaty ect. After my shot i was able to calm down, then i started a conversation and was talking fairly quick and noticed i became breathless very quick. after that it felt like any breath i took wasn’t good enough or satisfying enough (which is something i deal with regularly when im anxious) but this time it felt very very hard to breathe, i felt myself go thru the full motions of a panic attack to the point where i had my partner drive me to urgent care because i thought something was seriously wrong. We sat in the parking lot and in about 20min i was feeling better so obviously wasn’t anything serious. I get very anxious and worried over sensations and such so when my body feels off, more calm than normal ect, I tend to freak out and i wonder if my panic outweighed the effects of the xanax.
