Help with acting position, no letter of offer yet

I received an acting for PM-02, I was told verbally about the promotion but I haven't received any letter of offer despite being able to see the changes in my GCPay/Phoenix in terms of pay and classification. Should i bother asking for the LOO even though its already past the start date and i see the changes on my pay file?
