How do you deal with inventory getting full 5 minutes after going topside?

Do you prioritize what you loot? Do you just run over and not even open the many things you come across? Or do you open and only take specific items?

I try to take only specific items, leaving behind trash, but there isnt really much trash trash in this game so I end up with my inventory full after 5 minutes and from then on if I want to continue playing I need to start to manage what items to get rid of in order to take in new stuff which isnt that fun to do.
