Catan

Just moved and been playing catan for the first time with my boyfriend and bestfriend and have mastered it in a week. Got the expansion pack of pirates and explores, and feeling dumb lol.

In phase one, once we turn over a hex with our ship and settler, can we cash in that hex with our ship and settler if we roll the dice on the number or do we need an actual settler on it first
