I feel Stupid

After rereading the manga I feel stupid for not realizing who the obvious culprit for MoMo’s memory loss is. Her small body curse can be chalked up to the fairy-tale cards curse, but the memory loss showing up after she’s been saved has me thinking it was Saint Germaine’s doing. He’s been shown manipulating people’s memories with ease, and showed great interest in MoMo when they first met.

My theory is Saint Germaine’s either placed some kind of Memory curse on MoMo that will reveal its true function once a certain condition is met, or Saint Germaine actively took a segment of MoMos memories to gather intel on the yokai and aliens of the planet.

My biggest issue with the theory is that MoMo drops right into Okaruns hands when she’s pulled from the box. However we don’t see the direct follow up, so it’s still possible Saint Germaine did something to her before departing to collect the Fairy Tail cards power.
