from a non-Finnish
what's life like in Finland? I've seen some posts on this sub, however i'm looking for a more detailed personal and honest insight, from people who actually live there.
I'm curious about:
- How people interact and communicate day to day. Are Finnish people generally reserved, friendly, or direct?
- Racism, or subtle discrimination, towards immigrants or non-Finnish looking people, is it common? and more importantly is it acknowledged?
- the job market, is it stable or competitive, and what's the average pay like in comparison to costs of living?
- education system, what's schooling like? quality wise, and how students are treated.
- work culture, in terms of life&work balance, expectations and pressure, what's it like?
- What are the biggest social pros and cons of living there long-term?
- what are some stereotypes, are they true?
