*Red roses bloom under my ribs,*
*Each petal a flare of blood burning only for you,*
*Each thorn a reminder of the beautiful longing I feel.*

*Crimson chrysanthemums blaze in your hands,*
*Florets mirroring your defiance,*
*Their blossoms an inferno promising that dawn still exists even after ruin.*

*I need no halo, no wings, only your hand in mine,*
*And my voice to promise I'll help you carry the weight of what was,*
*Until it lightens, disappears.*

*We are fugitives in the twilight, embracing in the eventide,*
*The sunset our witness, the night our refuge.*
*Let this dusty town be our haven, a sanctuary built on shared scars*
*Where love grows in the cracks of broken things.*

*In your heart's soil, I'll sow the seeds of tenderness;*
*A garden untarnished by the world's decay, untouched by sorrow's hand,*
*A devotion that will not die.*

*You are worthy.*
*You are loved.*
*You are safe with me.*
*I will remain beside you, my beloved God of Death,*
*Let me be your guardian angel;*
*Ever luminous, even among life's shadows.*

The chrysanthemum is his birth month flower while the rose is mine, so the idea of a mixed bouquet with those flowers felt fitting. It dawned on me that, - considering the environment he grew up in and the course of his life -, it's pretty likely that Kalin has never received a bouquet before; anyways I'd make sure to change that. 💐

Today is my beloved Kalin's birthday so I wrote a poem as a little gift for him. 🌹
