No Man's Sky: Ecology

Suggestion

I've always wished No Man's Sky could add some variety to planets, perhaps making them more than singular biomes. Depending on the size of the planet, they could have varying amounts of biomes, complete with their own fauna, flora, and minerals.

Don't get me wrong on this by the way, No Man's Sky has a TON of variety already and I'm very happy with what we currently have. I just wish they could expand on the biomes themselves and allow planets to have multiple regions, making visiting them and filling out a complete database for them tougher, but more rewarding.

They could make planets deeper, and have the depths of planets house different animals and minerals the further down you go, adding large-scale cave networks and underwater rivers. The player could explore these purely for fun, or to fill out their planetary index and 100% log a planet.

(I also want to say that the planets we have now that are one-biome wouldn't be gone! I can imagine that they'd just be reserved for smaller planets that can't support large ecosystems and multiple biomes. I assume special/anomalous planets would also entirely remain one-biome regardless of the planet's size, so as to not break any lore connections.)
