Why is it so hard to find Calaveras de Azucar (aka Sugar Skulls) in Bend?

Every year I look high and low for actual authentic Dia de Muertos Sugar Skulls and come up empty. I check all the Mexican food markets and while they all have great pastries etc, they never seem to carry the skulls. I can make them, sure, but I'm not great at it, and I would also prefer to support a local confectioner instead of ordering them ahead of time online. Am I missing something or is it just not a thing here to have them for sale?
