Small Claims - Wisconsin
Brought my car to MONRO Tire shop.
They damaged my Cadillac by lifting it up in correctly. (body damage, and under the car damage)
They also messed with me for like 1.5 months about a ball-joint repair (they brought up to me).. after bring the car in several times and leaving it there 2-3 days each time.. they always made excuses, couldn't find the part (not sure why they asked for car to be dropped of then?).. in end of the I saw them use a blow torch and remove it.. installed new one in like 15 minutes.. never tested/drove the car.. and it is very un-stable/wobbling.
They also told me car needed to have 'premium' brakes/rotors... and they -still- squeal, bud funny...
When this happened the 'district manager' was there... they all apologized, shook my hand, gave me his contact card, and told me to get an estimate to get it fixed (body shop..etc).. and they would take care of it.
I got the estimate done.. and delivered to the current manager, while still trying to be nice, and work with them to fix their ball-joint issue and terrible brake issues.
That manager was fired apparently... and the new manager admitted the the ball-joint was not installed properly.... tried to fix it.. but still wobbles and makes the car ride bad. Along with the brake issues still, not take care of.
I dropped the same body shop estimate to the new manager, and he stated it was in fact forwarded to the district manager guy... and still no contact or updates on anything. Tried to call (he doesn't pick up), I text.. and then automatically, the shop manager calls saying he wants to try and fix the ball-joint/brake issues... (but never does)
I'm done trying to be nice/patient with them, and all the days/time I have been without my car, missing work, cancelling hospital appointments..etc
I guess I am now looking for advice and guidance on filing a small claims court issue against them.
If you have done this in WI, what is the best process/approach here? What advice can you give on this process? Can this be done on-line now? (Thought I saw something about e-file?)
The money and time spent on this is not acceptable, the damage to my car is not acceptable, and I now need to ensure they are help accountable.
Thanks
