Season Rankings: Day 1 - DC1 vs DC4

Season 4 is ending. I thought I’d never see the day

SO! I thought I would talk about how it compared to other seasons and I’d like if you voiced your opinions, too! just to see where you thought season 4: Carnival of Chaos landed on your rankings

I will be ranking the matchups on these criteria: Final 3, cast, and plot. this all is my opinion, so voice yours!

Let’s start with DC1 (non-beta) vs. DC4. There were some pros and cons from both ends. But if we’re talking final 3, DC1 takes the win. Like come on. Miriam, Ellie, and Fiore was a peak final three and I really felt the trio of Jade, Logan, and Anastasia had MUCH plot armor and was one of the most predictable final 3s

In terms of cast, I’m giving that to DC4, but it was close. Being our first 18 player season, the archetypes were there. Anastasia being the underestimated model, Logan being the flip-flopper Olympian, Ted being the poker genius who got snubbed. All of it was there. DC1 had a literal child, which I found very interesting. But if I’m being honest, it took WAY TOO MUCH spotlight on Jake and Tom. Like we get it.

And for plot, that goes to DC4. There were many different plot lines through the season that stood out to me. For example, I found Logan’s journey through finding himself was cool to watch. Amelie taking Hannah’s advice to heart and being less controlling and bossy was a step-up from the annoying lady she was at the start. That’s just two of the multiple plots there were.

So, by a score of 2-1, I think DC4 took a close victory over DC1.
