am i the only one that cant get shaders working on the latest version of optifine?

i have shaders, they have worked before, and they work on for example, iris and lunar client. but they dont work on optifine 1.21.10. is there a specific reason for this? is it because my graphics card is to old? (1080ti i think) or is it just a skill issue on my part? please help:) thank you
