These images were taken on the island of Amami Oshima, Japan. This island is located in the Kagoshima prefecture north of Okinawa. Amami is known for their very large mangrove, beautiful ocean views, warm weather, Rento alcohol, and their famous sanshin instrument. While here, I got engaged to my now wife who's family is from Amami Oshima. I had the honor of meeting them and learning all about the island history!
