Starting a Lawn Care Company in Ontario

I know this is probably often asked but I’m really hoping to get some advice.

I currently have a great job but don’t love it like I used to. I’m 27 and have started landscaping as a side hustle.

I’m considering getting my business registered and insured. I am away from home 13-16 days a month so I’m hoping to do this on my time off. I would plan to mow grass once a week (approx 8 customers) and then do landscaping jobs 2-4 times a month. Projecting potentially 2k a month in revenue.

I want to hang out door hangers now but I find it sketchy because I’m not registered or insured… and also feel like I’m not building any brand behind my work if I do that now.

I live in a small down surrounded by small towns with less competition but also less potential clients.

What would your thoughts be on this? I’m really passionate about yard work and dream to have my own company but don’t really know how to do it with working this current job. If anyone has any tips or any experience please let me know!
