2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

Just wondering if anyone would know the truth about the crossover pipe in an 04 Santa Fe. Having some issues with my Santa Fe and one mechanic said they wouldnt touch it as a previous unprofessional job was done and multiple washers were stacked on to intake bolt studs and the crossover pipe and it was loose. the original mechanic (Hyundai dealership, same one i bought it from who has done all the services) who did the work claimed thats how it comes from factory but i find that hard to believe. They wont warranty the work despite having the same issue about a year after original work was done. Sorry if this isnt the right sub and thanks for any help!!
