I think someone might be stalking/phrogging in my friend’s apartment and they don’t want to do anything about it.
Hung out with my friend yesterday and she mentioned feeling uneasy about a situation she encountered yesterday morning, a situation that has since lead her feeling very afraid and paranoid to go back to her apartment.
The context is this, my friend was out partying pretty much every day this whole weekend with friends celebrating Halloween. Of course alcohol was involved, not sure if any other substances. According to her (I wasn’t present) she went back to her place with one of her friends. Hung out before both passing out in the living room. When my friend woke up, she was in her bedroom unsure how she got there in the first place, remembered her friend had knocked out in the living room. She went to check and her friend was still there, when returning to her bedroom she noticed a hoodie that did not belong her laying on her bedroom floor. She didn’t recall having the hoodie when she go back the night before, it wasn’t her friends and she never asked anyone to borrow said hoodie. She doesn’t know how it got there.
We’ve been speculating on how it got there. Perhaps she brought someone else over recently other than her friend? Perhaps she borrow it at some point. Or perhaps a maybe her landlords/maintenance persons hood? Which even if this were the case why are they going into her apartment unannounced? She’s denied any and every theory. She even asked building staff and they assured her no one went into her apartment and would never do so unannounced.
This whole situation has left her so exhausted and paranoid she is scared to be in her apartment and she’s also contemplating brushing the whole thing off as a “this is weird but a one time thing”. We don’t know what else to do other than maybe have her install a ring camera? The whole situation is bizarre, I have suggested not brushing it off but I totally get her just wanting to not think about it to ease her state of mind.
Last bit of detail, the hoodie had a scent. One she did not recognize which proves the hoodie has been worn and it had a security tag which hints the hoodie might’ve been stolen.
