As a manager, would/could you ever sell a spare part out of a display model?

The part in question is the 1.5 x 70-tooth timing belt on the 7x10 mini lathes.

I know you 100% can't sell display models. And I know it's not like any spare part out of a machine even has a product code. But if I needed one same day, for whatever reason... Is it even possible to walk out with just a spare part?

So yeah I know this is absolutely a dumb insane question. but I figured what's the harm in asking?
