Help please
Part rant/ part plea for help. Sorry it’s long.
I’ve been diagnosed with PCOS for about five years. I had all of the symptoms except ovarian cysts. At least when they checked me.
Wednesday 10/22, I had unexpected bleeding while ovulating, cramps and searing horrible pain on my left side. I tried to ignore it, but on Saturday 10/25 I went to the hospital. Ovarian cyst. Approximately 2 cm so not large.
I have a blood clotting disorder so the hospital freaked out, put me on blood thinners, and checked me for blood clots because they said my pain level was abnormal. No blood clots though. They did find a hiatal hernia.
I’ve followed up with doctors and gotten more testing. The doctor said it was likely my cyst had burst, hence the pain, and that my period will help flush out the cyst matter and fluid. And just take Tylenol.
Yesterday my period started. Oh my god 😩. The pain is unreal. I have been useless since 10/22 because of the pain.
What came out initially was pink and chunky and awful. I’m bleeding like crazy from the blood thinners. I’m vegetarian and light headed. I hate these doctors for not even helping me with the problem and just adding to it.
Is it true that my period will clean out the cyst? I’m still experiencing pain on the left side. Has anyone experienced this? I feel like I’m just being written off. I was scolded for even going to the ER they told me to contact my doctor instead.
