Any recommendations for a good orthodontist for adult braces and has gum expertise?

Hey all! I have crowded teeth and have always wanted braces, however I have some severe gum recession. I have visited several dentists, orthodontists, and periodontists, but they can't seem to decide on the order of operations for my gum repair and braces install. I had a gum graft a few years ago, but it was not effective and didn't fix the gum recession. I'm hoping to be able to talk to someone with experience in both orthodontia and periodontics, or two different people at the same time. So far, none of the professionals I've been to have actually talked to each other, just used me as a messenger. Does anyone have any personal recommendations?
