This jumper looks so cosy and I love the colour combination, but I've never knitted a sweater. My German ist scheiße, so I translated the pattern, but the instructions are unclear to me. I would appreciate it if someone could help me make sense of it. FyI, this pattern is free on Woolplace.de

The parts I don't understand:

Back:
- what is a seam edge? I can find info about seaming edges together, but not what a seam edge is/how to knit a seam edge.
- it doesn't say how many rows to knit and when to start the decrease?
- it says to cast on stitches between the two pieces? Which pieces?

Front:
- same points as the back.
- don't understand the increase instructions, how many rows? When to start?

Back and front:
- am I supposed to knit in the round?
- do I knit the first and second stitch together and slip the last two stitches together?
- after the start of the round or after the middle of the round? What? With round, do they mean rows?? That means I follow those instructions at the start of a row, yes?

Armhole:
- don't understand any of this, but maybe it will make more sense once I would be knitting that part.

Finishing:
- the neck is done after blocking? Doesn't the neck need to be blocked too?

Sorry if these questions are stupid. I've only knitted repeating patterns so far and mostly knit flat. I'm not sure if this pattern is too advanced for me or if it's unclear in general. I was going to knit a jumper without a pattern following a yt tutorial from ikoxun, but I wanted to try this pattern as it looks comfy. Maybe the video tutorial is easier to follow tho.
