going home for christmas: leave her at home for over a week (with daily check-ins) vs. flying in the cabin with me (~8 hours of travel time)?

i really don't want to stress her out. she has flown with me once in the past when i spent over a month away from home which was pretty okay (got her gabapentin for the travel days). however if it's just over a week i'm quite unsure which is the better option. she is very clingy with me so in general i prefer that she is with me every day. also she knows my parents house since that's where i stayed with her last time. however, i know travel can be very disruptive and stressful for them. she's a very sensitive cat and i'd really like to disrupt her as little as possible. i'm torn currently, what do you guys recommend?

for the record she is my only pet so if i leave her at home she will be totally alone besides the daily check-ins from a sitter
