Is philosophy just not for me

I like reading philosophers work outside of class, but in my class I wish I just wasn’t there at all. Is it philosophy in general? Is it philosophy of ethics specifically? Is it the way the class is taught? I don’t enjoy going over hypothetical scenarios. Like here are some that really are sending me over the edge. “Imagine a doctor can save five patients with one other patients live. Let’s say the patient is homeless, you know, someone who nobody would miss when they’re gone” WHAT????? “If you had to torture a terrorist for the core to the bomb, would you? Okay, now imagine that you had to RAPE the terrorist. Now would you?” WHAT?????
