Which neighboring country would you say your average American is more familiar with, Mexico or Canada?

CULTURE

Mexico and Canada are the two biggest neighbors that the US has but how familiar would you say your average American is with either country?

I feel like Mexican culture is more omnipresent in the US simply due to their massive diaspora of over 40 million people, whereas Canadians might have more soft power as many Canadian musicians, actors, entrepreneurs, athletes, and great minds re-locate to the US.

I suppose this also heavily depends on what your family background is and which part of the country you've spent most of your time living in. E.g., a Caucasian family living in Eastern Michigan will probably have more kinship with Canada while a Latino family living in East LA will probably have much more kindship with Mexico.
