UV Sterilizer needed?

I've not gotten a water test yet (I know). To my knowledge, we have never had bacteria or pathogens in our city water supply. I'm planning to purchase a 10gpm 25-1 micron catalytic carbon filtration unit for point of entry use. Would it be recommended to also purchase a UV water sanitizer? I've read what I can and it appears that a very few people have encountered unforeseen growth of contaminants when filtering out chlorine and chloramine with point of entry systems when also not using a UV sanitizer. If I do need one, I'd prefer it to be manufactured in the USA, but have been unable to find many options.
