Political persecution

I am trying to find out what information I need to collect.

My Oma was inducted into civil service in WW2 as a German. She was stationed in Verona Italy she was not allowed back into the country. As the story goes she snuck back in. Would this help my case ( her dad was in sachsenhausen cc and died in cc Dachau , she became orphaned)
