Panicking about timing for abortion pills—would love advice from anyone who’s been here

Hi everyone, I’m really anxious right now and could use some advice or reassurance.

I had unprotected sex from Thursday through Sunday, and the only time he finished inside me was Thursday. I usually ovulate around cycle day 20, but on Saturday I started getting ovulation cramps and took a test and it was positive. So the timing is not great, and I’m freaking out.

I already ordered abortion pills from Aid Access so they’ll be here in time, but I obviously won’t even know if I’m pregnant for another couple weeks. The complicating part is that the guy lives two time zones away, and I’m visiting him the weekend before Thanksgiving… which is probably exactly when I’ll find out if I’m pregnant.

If I am pregnant, I’m trying to figure out when I should actually take the pills. Do I need to take them immediately after testing positive? Can I wait a few days if I’m traveling? I’m very nervous about the process but I know it’s the right decision for me right now.

Any advice, especially around timing, what to expect, or how to prepare would be so appreciated. I feel so stupid for not being careful, so please be kind. I’m also really scared about doing this mostly alone, so if anyone wants to share their experience or tips for emotional/physical comfort, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you ❤️
