Aquanaut 5167a modded vs BBF or DDF – modding needed?

Hey everyone, I was looking to get myself a 5167a and was wondering whether the more experienced people could share how a nicely modded 5167a differs from a BBF or DDF. I am trying to gauge whether this one would need modding or not. For example gmts subs and most daytonas etc dont really need modding but here I am not so sure. Can someone suggest what the differences are between modded and not modded? also what did those that went for a modded 5167, pay?
I am looking at the BBFs and DDFs and they all look very solid and super close to gen I have to say.
