Huge Step Today; Anxious and Relieved

Surgery related

Hello fellow endo warriors! So after The Return (bahahahah is how I imagine the endo sounding) and nearly a year of pain post hysterectomy (though I had 7 months of no pain. I just couldn’t tolerate any of the necessary hormone meds needed to prevent regrowth) I had a bilateral oophorectomy at age 35. Starting HRT, and feeling at peace with my decision. Still in the hospital, lots of pain but I feel mostly mental peace. Just traumatized by how hard it is to beat this, and this might not even do it. But I needed to give myself the best chance I had at a beautiful life I wanted. Anyone else get their ovaries removed? How was recovery? The estrogen replacements? 💛
